I’m Shan, the graphic designer behind Short & Sassy.

I’m a graphic designer in Lake Macquarie, NSW, working with genuine, down-to-earth small businesses across Newcastle, the Hunter, and Australia-wide.

I help businesses create branding that reflects their personality, vision, and direction – so everything feels clear, consistent, and aligned with where they’re heading.

Why I started Short & Sassy

I started Short & Sassy because I’ve always been drawn to small businesses that are built with heart.

Behind every business is a real person who’s put time, energy, and belief into what they’re creating – and I believe that should be reflected properly through their branding and visual identity.

I noticed a lot of small businesses feeling disconnected from their branding – like their logo or visuals didn’t quite match the effort or personality behind the business.

So I wanted to create a branding and graphic design studio where design feels more personal, collaborative, and connected to the people behind the business.

When I’m not designing, I’m usually outside somewhere, hiking, travelling, playing music, or planning the next trip with a coffee in hand.
I like real life to feed the work. That’s where the good ideas come from.
